Janina Niefer has been working for the project A2 „Interpretability in Context“ since July 2009 and has taught classes on literary studies in the winter semester 2011/12 and the summer semester 2012. She has studied Protestant Theology and English Studies at the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen. Currently, she is working on her dissertation project with the title “Formal Perfection as an Evidence for Inspiration in English Poetry and Poetics of the Late 16th and Early 17th Century.” For her work she receives a scholarship from the Landesgraduiertenförderung Baden-Württemberg in connection with the project “Sacred Texts.”
Her reserach interests are Early Modern literature, the relationship between religion and literature, the cooperation of literary studies and linguistics, and the poetry of the 19th and early 20th century with a focus on the poetry of Emily Dickinson.
